Indian developer Sobha Group and investment manager RootCorp have launched a new fund targeting real estate assets, development debt and project equity in India. The India Debt and Yield Opportunities Fund is aiming to raise $300m and will target a return of 20%.
ICG-Longbow’s senior UK debt fund has reported profits after tax of £7.6m for the year ended 31 January 2015, up from £1.4m the previous year. ICG-Longbow Senior Secured UK Property Debt Investments has invested in 11 loans totalling £104m. Last year it loaned £8m on Ramada Gateshead and £10m on Lanos (York Hotel), completing its initial investment programme.
Aviva Investors real estate multi-manager has invested in TH Real Estate’s debut property debt fund, the UK Enhanced Debt fund.
Tyndaris Real Estate, a London-based real estate debt fund manager, has closed its debut fund on €350 million and has deployed £28m (€39m) of the capital on two investments in London. In addition, the firm has added two to its investment team.
Standard Life Investments is launching the Commercial Real Estate Debt Fund, its second vehicle to provide senior debt on UK commercial real estate. Targeting around £250m of capital, the new fund is designed for institutional investors and Standard Life's group pension scheme has committed £100m. The fees are 50bps on net asset value, with no performance fee.
MetLife Real Estate Investors is planning to raise its first real estate debt fund, Real Estate Capital’s sister magazine PERE has learned. The new vehicle, MetLife Commercial Mortgage Income Fund, is considered a companion to its MetLife Core Property Fund and would be one of the few open-ended real estate debt vehicles in the US market.
