If you think your organisation deserves to be in Real Estate Capital Europe’s Active Lenders 2023 report, you have this week to tell us why. The deadline for submissions is midday, UK time, Friday 27 October.
Since 2014, Real Estate Capital Europe has published an annual list of Europe’s leading real estate debt providers. It started as a rundown of 30 lenders and expanded to become Europe’s Top 50 Lenders – see the 2022 edition here.
For 2023, we have decided to make a change. There is not a predetermined number of places in the list. Rather than it being our view of the top 50, Active Lenders 2023 will serve as an overview of those that demonstrate they have continued to provide financing to Europe’s real estate sector this year.
Inclusion will not be automatic for those that make submissions; we need to see evidence of 2023 lending to be convinced an organisation is among Europe’s active debt providers.
The list will be published online from 1 December and will feature in our winter print edition. To make a submission, please fill in the dedicated form, which you will find HERE.
Our intention is to highlight as many genuinely active lenders as we have robust information on. Inclusion will come down to editorial judgement, meaning we will consider whether we have sufficient information, and whether a lender can be genuinely considered to have been active this year. We would like to hear from organisations that have provided €200 million or more of financing this year – and not simply through extensions to existing loans.
In the dedicated form, we ask for:
- Your organisation’s 2022 full-year lending volume
- Your organisation’s 2023 lending volume to the end of Q3, with as much detail as possible on the type of lending. It is important to highlight the proportion that is refinancing, and what is new lending against investment or development properties. As stated above, we will not consider extensions to existing loans as lending activity
- The size of your organisation’s European real estate loan book at the end of Q3 2023
- At least three examples of standout deals from 2023, with as much detail as possible
We look forward to hearing from you by midday, UK time, on Friday 27 October.
