MSREI moves Poulpiquet to Asia
Olivier de Poulpiquet, Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing’s co-chief executive, will move from Europe to Asia following the bank’s decision to become a net buyer in the region again. Brian Niles will take on the role of European head.
Heideby hunts for Resolution
Mads Heideby has joined Resolution Property to hunt for hotel deals for the group’s third fund. The fund was raised in 2007 but still has half of its €800m equity to invest. Heideby said he would focus initially on London, then other UK cities, for investments of between £50m and £100m.
Jewell to run AEW Europe funds
Russell Jewell has taken on responsibility for value-added and opportunistic products at AEW Europe. Jewell, previously with Merrill Lynch Global Principal Investments and Strategic Value Partners, becomes head of private equity funds, based in London.
Munro moves to Internos
Internos Real Investors has hired Paul Munro from Commerz Real as a managing director of German business. He will focus on building relationships with investors, working with MDs Berthold Becker and Georg zu Stollberg.
Marks takes on BPF role
David Marks became junior vice-president of the British Property Federation this month. As co-managing partner at Brockton Capital, he will be the first president from a private equity real estate background when he takes over in two years’ time.
