Claxon moves to Cordea Savills

John Claxon has left BNP Paribas REIM to join Cordea Savills, where he will help to expand the European fund manager’s segregated mandates business. Claxon is a director of investment and will report to George Tindley, Cordea Savills’ head of UK investment. BNP Paribas recently lost one of its longest-standing property mandates, National Grid pension fund, to DTZ.

Roberts takes helm at Assura

Former British Land finance director Graham Roberts  has been appointed to run quoted primary healthcare property company Assura. Roberts took over as chief executive last month.

Korea’s NPS arrives in London…

The South Korean pension fund, National Pension Service, plans to open an office in London. Its only other office outside Korea is in New York. NPS has been an active investor in European property for the past two years and has also invested in UK infrastructure.

…while Patrizia plans to follow

German property investment manager Patrizia also plans to  open a London office. Operating officer Klaus Schmitt said the move would “allow us to be closer to properties in the UK, as well as to get better access to UK investors”. Patrizia aims to increase its assets under management from €7bn to
€10bn in the next three years.

Haigh returns to Tristan Capital

Nik Haigh is rejoining Tristan Capital Partners as a director of client relations, to expand the firm’s relationships with US and Canadian investors.
