Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has hired Andrew Wheldon, the former head of residential debt and structured finance at CBRE, as a director in its listed CRE clients team.

In his new role, Wheldon will support Lloyds Bank’s origination activity and relationships with its portfolio of stock market-listed investors and developers.
Wheldon joined CBRE in 2014 and advised on the origination of £750 million of development, bridging and investment loans last year.
Prior to joining CBRE, Wheldon worked for Royal Bank of Scotland from 2009 as head of central London residential origination working with clients including Lend Lease, Ares, and Galliford Try. Before RBS, Wheldon spent seven years with Capita Property, in roles including head of London development and asset management.
Wheldon was a professional rugby player for Leeds for four years until joining Capita in 2002.
“Andrew’s broad experience in leadership roles for both major financial institutions and advisors is a great complement for our multi-disciplinary practice. His appointment enhances our ability to provide clients with the very best insight, guidance and expertise,” said Ian Goldsworthy, head of listed clients, commercial real estate for Lloyds Bank.
“Lloyds Bank has a reputation for quality and delivery in the market that sets it apart from its peers. I’m really looking forward to joining the business to help support its growth and its client’s transformational investment and development plans,” Wheldon added.
