Helaba appoints senior CRE director in Paris

Helaba has made a new appointment in its origination team in the German bank’s Paris office. Anne Sophie Chaffard started this week as a senior director of real estate, reporting to the branch head, Renaud Jezequel.

Anne Sophie Chaffard started this week as a senior director of real estate, reporting to the branch head, Renaud Jezequel.

Chaffard joins from BNP Paribas Real Estate Finance CIB where she had worked for 15 years.

At Helaba she will work alongside Remy Boet, also a senior director in France, on originating new business and transaction execution. The team also includes director Juergen Schambach and deputy directors Vincent Nelson and Olfa Souissi-Augey.

Among the the bank’s deals in France last year were office financings in the capital such as a €120m loan to Crédit Agricole to refinance its Tivoli office complex, and a €70 million facility to Tishman Speyer for the refurbishment of the 21,700 sq metre Cristalia building in  in Rueil-Malmaison, Hauts-de-Seine, occupied entirely by Bristol-Myers-Squibb.

Helaba also refinanced Basso Cambo office park in Toulouse for Doughty Hanson European Real Estate Fund II.
