John Feeney, who has led Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking’s commercial real estate business for four years, has been promoted to acting head of global corporates, with Madeleine McDougall promoted to acting head of the CRE unit.

The UK bank confirmed in a statement that Feeney had been appointed the acting head of the global corporates group, of which the commercial real estate business is a component part. The reshuffle follows the resignation from the bank of Clare Francis, managing director of global corporates, after 11 years with the organisation.
Feeney, who joined Lloyds from Henderson Global Investors – now TH Real Estate – in 2013, oversaw the restructuring of the bank’s commercial real estate functions during his time at the helm. In 2015, the bank reorganised its CRE team into six specialist units; listed clients, institutional clients, major private groups, developers, international clients and private real estate corporates. The move followed the 2014 merger of the real estate global corporates and mid-market teams.

McDougall, previously head of institutional clients, has been appointed as acting global head of commercial real estate. She joined Lloyds in 2014 from pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, where she led the international client team in the UK covering real estate financing across Europe. Prior to that, she worked in the real estate teams at Westimmo and Eurohypo.
Lloyds’ full statement on the appointments read:
