Hoare will join CR as managing director and head of the new business, covering debt and equity placement and related advisory services.

Prior to joining CR, Hoare spent 17 years as a director within Citi’s European real estate finance team, based at the US investment bank’s Canary Wharf offices.

In his new role, Hoare will be active across CR’s geographic spread of eight European countries. He will provide loan brokerage, real estate finance advisory and loan syndication services. The role will involve advising sponsors in refinancing and recapitalising existing transactions as well as in sourcing debt and equity capital for new deals.

The new business’s target client base includes sponsors ranging from private investors to large institutions. In addition it will assist lenders in their syndication activities. Transactions will start from €5 million in size and will range from mortgage financing to multi-tranche offerings, and equity participation.

“We are delighted to welcome Stuart to CR, having known and worked with him for many years. This activity makes our offering to clients even more compelling by providing a broader spectrum of services and we look forward to benefitting from Stuart’s experience and leadership,” said Jacob Lyons, managing director of CR.
