Bearman joined the real estate loan servicer and debt advisor from Valad Europe seven months ago, to lead the firm’s European business with the aim of expanding its operations in the region.

The European CEO position was a newly created role within Situs, which has been expanding its operations in the region since it was bought by US private equity firm Stone Point Capital in January 2015.

The firm said its business in Europe continues to be an area of expansion – as illustrated by the acquisition of commercial mortgage servicing company Hatfield Phillips in 2016.

“Our strategy, commitment and focus in Europe remain unchanged, providing best-in-class service to clients across the region,” said Situs CEO Steve Powel.

“We are excited about the prospects of further business development in Europe, and the synergies for European clients with our capabilities in the US, and vice versa,” Powel added.
