Moore takes MEPC directorship
Former M&G Real Estate chief Martin Moore is joining MEPC as a non-executive director. Moore is also an adviser to US private equity firm KKR and a non-executive for F&C Commercial Property Trust. MEPC manages 7m sq ft across seven UK business parks.
Grosvenor’s Howard moves on
Mervyn Howard is leaving Grosvenor’s fund management business after 12 years in senior roles, most recently as managing director for corporate development. He ran the UK fund management business until it was combined with Grosvenor’s continental fund management arm last year. His role will not be replaced.
Kasch steps down from Catalyst
Catalyst Capital founding partner Peter Kasch retired this month “to renew old interests long sidelined”. Kasch founded Catalyst in 2000 with Julian Newiss through a buyout of the European division of Greenwich Group International. Aged 64, he said he had decided not to commit to the firm’s new fund, Catalyst European Property Fund II, and would look to work with not-for-profit organisations in affordable housing and make seed investments for businesses in the developing world.
McCarthy joins first Irish REIT
Caroline McCarthy, CBRE’s director of investment in Dublin, joined Ireland’s first REIT, Green REIT, this month. McCarthy will be the company’s chief investment officer. Green REIT raised €310m for invest-ment in July.
