DebtX to sell $5bn US portfolio

America’s Housing & Urban Development (HUD) has appointed DebtX to sell a $5bn portfolio of non-performing loans. The sale, the largest DebtX has undertaken for HUD, is expected to attract international bidders. DebtX said the model would be applicable to Spain  or other European countries with large residential non-performing loan portfolios.

CREFC hosts NPL loans seminar

The Commercial Real Estate Finance Council Europe will hold an after-work seminar on European non-performing loans, on Wednesday 27 November at 6pm at the offices of London law firm Reed Smith. Mulqueen moves to CBRE

Hammerson’s John Mulqueen is joining CBRE Global Investors as head of value-added investing in the UK. Two of CBRE GI’s UK value-added team, Simon Farnsworth and Ian Harris, are leaving with Giles King to found a new asset management and investment company called Westmount.

McKell joins JLLCF broker team

Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance has hired Michael McKell to join the five-strong unlisted funds brokerage and advisory team. Ksenia Bronnikova is also joining from Cass business school. Last month, Chris Holmes, formerly at UniCredit, joined JLLCF as head of debt.
