Coffee goes cold on DB                                                                                            

Clarke Coffee has left Deutsche Bank, where he was most recently co-head of origination, alongside Steve Williamson in the London-based European real estate finance team. Coffee will be joining a hedge fund in September. The bank’s real estate finance business has been headed by Gad Casby since Cyril Courbage left last September to work on a senior lending strategy for Fortress Investment Group.

Thaker takes Secure Property role                                                                

Harin Thaker, former  head of international property finance at Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, has taken a non-executive role at Secure Property. The south-east European company, which was formerly called Aisi Realty Public, is listed on AIM and  has recently been restructured and renamed.          

O’Connor leaves Aberdeen                                                                                  

John O’Connor, Aberdeen Asset Management’s UK managing director of fund management, will retire this month. His successor will be Andrew Creighton, director of property, Europe, at Henderson Global Investors, who will join in September.      

Martin moves onto LGP board                                                                          

Legal & General Property has promoted head of research  Rob Martin, who joined from Hammerson in 2006, to its board. Mike Tate, fund analysis manager at LGP, is taking on additional responsibilities working on the growing annuity property portfolio. Barbora Melezinkova, previously with IPD, has joined as an analyst.
