Renshaw Bay has continued to assemble a real estate team under former JPMorgan banker Jon Rickert, recruiting Martin Farinola from Goldman Sachs.
Farinola, who worked at the bank’s ABS trading desk, will set up a mortgage trading and syndications business at Renshaw.
The asset management company, which was set up by Rickert and JPMorgan’s former co-investment banking chief Bill Winters, has already hired Lynn Gilbert and Christian Janssen.
Both were previously CMBS bankers at Barclays Capital. The company aims to raise capital for a European senior debt fund.
- Jack Chandler, head of real estate at BlackRock, is reported to be considering opportunities for European property lending, and is also planning to set up a fund.
