Kennedy Wilson adds to UK team                                                                         

US asset manager Kennedy Wilson has hired Fiona D’Silva as a managing director from Deutsche Bank, where she worked in real estate syndication. Kennedy Wilson is rapidly expanding its European business in line with acquisitions of distressed loan portfolios and other assets.

Hughes in line to head BPF

Bill Hughes, head of Legal & General Property, has become junior vice-president of the British Property Federation. He will lead the BPF in 2014, following senior vice-president David Marks of Brockton and current president Chris Grigg of British Land.

Brown to run BlackRock UK fund

Justin Brown will join BlackRock in October as a managing director in the real estate team and portfolio manager of BlackRock UK Property Fund. Brown, previously at UBS Global Asset Management, will report to head of international real estate Marcus Sperber.           

Heilpern joins King & Spalding

US law firm King & Spalding has hired Nigel Heilpern from Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson to launch a London department covering equity investment, fund formation and real estate finance. The move is part of the firm’s drive to build a European property practice.     

Topland takes on RBS’s Kingston

Mark Kingston has left Royal Bank of Scotland’s global restructuring group to be an investor again, joining Topland as joint managing director with Clive Bush. Kingston worked at Tishman Speyer for 10 years.
