Peacock quits Aviva for CBRE

After 24 years at Aviva Investors Andrew Peacock has left to join CBRE Real Estate Finance, as head of Central London asset management. His role is to develop asset management strategies for investors in large assets. He will also work with the central London agency team.

Thassim joins Brookfield in Asia

Brookfield Asset Management has appointed Neil Thassim as head of Asia for the private funds group. Based in Hong Kong, he will head fund raising and liaise with investors in the region. Thassim was previously head of RREEF’s Asia Pacific real estate business.

Cerberus recruits Coggle

Ron Coggle has joined Cerberus, after leaving Hudson Advisors late last year, where he was head of special servicing. He was replaced there by Philippe Couturier from Archon Group.

Carlton picks German office head

The US Carlton Group, which aims to increase its European business this year, has hired Fernando Salazar to run a new office in Frankfurt. Salazar, who is a joint German and Spanish citizen, was Eurohypo’s head of real estate and commercial banking from 2006 to 2010.

Topland adds to lending team

Topland has expanded its two- year-old property lending team by hiring Antony Iannaccone from Singer & Friedlander and Edward Matthews from Bank of London and Middle East. The company has made 22 loans totalling £100m, mainly stretched senior lending.
