Cushman & Wakefield has beefed up its corporate finance division, hiring Federico Montero from KPMG as a partner in the debt advisory team.
Montero is the first appointment since Mike Lindsay joined last year as head of Europe, Middle East and Africa corporate finance, also from KPMG, where he had been head of real estate.
The firm has folded Matthew Stone’s team, which advises occupiers on sale and lease-backs, into the corporate finance division, along with the debt advisory and capital raising operation, which is led by Luca Giangolini. Stone was previously part of Michael Rhydderch’s cross-border investment division.
Lindsay said: “Banking and investor clients need multi-skilled teams capable of advising on all matters relating to restructuring, selling or acquiring assets and loans.”
