Ellahi to head Lee’s Langham

Ahsan Ellahi (pictured) is leaving Eurohypo, where he was head of structured finance and joint UK MD, to head Sam Lee’s UK property company, Langham Estate. Ellahi said he had had “a very long association” with Lee’s family. Max Sinclair will now be sole head of Eurohypo’s UK business.

White Tower sale imminent

CB Richard Ellis Loan Servicing is to put a number of properties from the nine-strong, £1bn central London White Tower portfolio on the market “in the next couple of weeks”, a source said. The investment advisers, CBRE and Knight Frank have almost completed their vendor due diligence and CBRELS is said to be keen to take advantage of the recent rise in prices and strong demand for stock.

Topland to sell stock

Topland is marketing a £200m portfolio to exploit the demand for stock and focus on larger corporate sale-and-leaseback deals. Structured finance director Tom Betts said now was a great time to “tap demand for good covenants and longer-term income, fuelled by institutions and equity-rich investors”. He said the 20 properties are in an attractive price range that banks can fund. Last month Telereal Trillium put the £475m Oak portfolio of 55 assets, let to RBS, on the market.

Ostroumoff moves on to bgc

Charles Ostroumoff, former strategist at Eurex who helped launch the exchange’s property product a year ago, has joined the property derivatives broking team at bgc, led by Jon Masters.
