• Last month’s largest UK loan was a bank club led by Lloyds, providing £320m to Value Retail’s Bicester outlet village. It replaces a £190m facility made by five banks in 2009.
• US insurer Pricoa made its first Continental loan, a €55.5m facility for WP Carey, secured against six Netherlands logistics assets. It has another loan lined up but not yet completed, providing a £280m refinancing for Plantation Place in the City with another debuting US insurer, Pacific Life.
• Royal Bank of Scotland has provided a €280m, five-year loan for Summit Real Estate Group in Germany. The economics of the deal stacked up for the bank, even though it is pulling out of lending in the country.
