Corestate parts with CEO Burns

Phillip Burns has left Corestate Capital after two years as chief executive. Chief operating officer Thomas Landschreiber is assuming his role.

Wells to run Forum in Asia

Greg Wells is joining Forum Partners as managing director and head of Asia, based in Hong Kong. He previously managed Deutsche Bank’s commercial real estate business. Before that he was at Paul Hastings in Shanghai and Morgan Stanley in Japan.

Mokrane moves to LIM

Mahdi Mokrane will quit his role as AEW Europe’s Paris-based head of research to join LaSalle Investment Management in the summer. Based in London, he will become head of research and strategy, Europe, replacing Alistair Seaton, who left last year. Mokrane is co-chair of INREV’s research committee and sits on the IPD France and Europe PPFI Index committees.

Mogull made Cambridge fellow

Cambridge graduate college Hughes Hall has appointed Marc Mogull as a city fellow. The Benson Elliot Capital Management founder teaches real estate development at the university’s Department of Land Economy.

Misev joins Aberdeen AM

Aberdeen Asset Management has recruited Alex Misev as a portfolio manager to work in Amsterdam with head of global mandates Karin Koks, as part of a move to expand its global multi-manager business. Misev was Towers Watson’s head of Australian real estate and infrastructure. Aberdeen MM, led by Jon Lekander, has three global mandates from clients for indirect investment across Europe, Asia and North America, totalling €400m.

Knopek steps up to Aareal board

Aareal Bank has appointed Dagmar Knopek as board member responsible for structured property finance,succeeding Dirk Grosse Wordemann, who is leaving the bank next month. Knopek has worked in various posts at Aareal since 1999, including head of credit management.

She previously worked at German banks including Bayerische Hypo. Meanwhile, Hermann Merkens has renewed his contract with Aareal as head of finance and work-outs.

Kerse takes Circle finance role

Robert KerseCircle Housing Group has recruited Robert Kerse from Genesis Housing Association as its new director of finance. Kerse will take up the post in July, working with corporate finance director Paul Rickard. Circle has issued several bonds in the past few years.

Luddy joins CBRE as Irish MD…

Enda Luddy has been appointed as managing director of Ireland at CBRE, while Florence Stanley has been promoted to deputy managing director. Guy Hollis retains European board level responsibility for the Irish business and is also taking responsibility for expanding the Nordics operation.

…while GI business recruits Bruns Olaf

Bruns is joining CBRE Global Investors as director of portfolio management in the separate accounts business in Germany, reporting to John Ozinga. He previously worked at UBS Global Asset Management, Landesbank Berlin and Union Investment.
