Marriott moves to Oxford

Simon Marriott has left private equity real estate group MGPA to join Oxford Properties, the property subsidiary of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System. He will be head of European acquisitions, based in London, reporting to Paul Brundage, who is head of property in Europe. Brundage is recruiting more staff, including a head of development.

AEGON adds two to team

AEGON Asset Management has taken on Gregory Beeson and John Benham as assistant fund managers, taking its property team to 10 specialists. They will report to fund manager David Wise and work on the £1bn AEGON Property Fund. Beeson previously worked as a consultant at Hermes, working on restructuring funds in which Hermes had stakes. Benham joins from Jones Lang LaSalle.

Daher takes step up at Carlyle

The Carlyle Group has promoted European chief financial officer Oussama Daher to managing director in London. Daher joined the global private equity group in 2000.

Schroders appoints Italian head

Neil Turner, head of property fund management at Schroder Property, has appointed Marina Bottero as head of property fund management in Italy. She will be responsible for Schroders’ Italian property business and its expansion. Bottero ran JLL’s Milan office between 1992 and 2002 and later worked for Beni Stabili and Hines. Cristina Ferrari Bravo has been appointed head of property asset management in Italy.
