CBRE Global Investors makes two senior appointments

CBRE Global Investors announced two internal promotions in its EMEA organisation.

Real estate investment manager CBRE Global Investors has promoted Bas Tiemstra as the director of investment operations and Jirka Lhotak as CFO of the EMEA region.

Tiemstra will be in charge of EMEA investment operations, including asset management, with a focus on standardizing best practices and driving investment performance at the asset level; while Lhotak will be accountable for the company’s finance and operations in the region.

emeaTiemstra joined the company in early 2015 as the head of asset management for Retail EMEA, responsible for improving the quality of the retail portfolio and ensuring retail property performance.

He previously worked for ASR Real Estate Investment Management where he was a managing director of CRE and fund director for the ASR Dutch Prime Retail Fund.

Lhotak joined CBRE Global in 2006 and became the CFO of the CBRE European Shopping Centre Funds and the Retail portfolio across EMEA in 2012, overseeing the company’s finance across the Central and Eastern European region.

His predecessor, Dennis Van Vugt, has stepped down but will assist with the transition of his duties through the balance of 2016.
